Good question from adnil19 in Zillow Advice about how to obtain a loan after a short sale.

“I had a short sale over 1 year ago. Will I be able to get a mortgage w/over 20% down?”

“My financial situation has changed considerably i.e. I am debt free and have a secure position as a tenured faculty member at a California community college. My credit score is about 630 -650 due to the short sale last year.”

Lenders in this thread have a variety of opinions, what do you think?
